I can tell you the exact moment I knew I wanted to design book covers for a living...I was walking through my middle school library and saw the brand new copy of These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner. It had the most gorgeous cover designed by Whitney Manger. My jaw hit the floor, and I don’t think I’ve ever recovered. Since then, I ran a book blog “The Book Insider” in high school, sold books in college for Ernest & Hadley Booksellers. and designed books professionally for Orange Hat Publishing | Ten16 Press. Currently, I'm taking my skills to indie authors online through @AshtonMSmithDesigns on Instagram. You can sneak a peek at all the books I've read since I was fourteen:
